DIY: UP-CYCLE A PRINGLES CAN INTO A JUMBO BRUSH HOLDER!

I have been thinking about expanding my blog into different categories, and of course post a little more regularly than I have been. So I sought the advice of my friend and Posto's human, Bea. She asked me to post about things that I am genuinely interested in. Arts and crafts has been a major part of my life growing up. DIY is something that has always interested me. I have followed several YouTube and blog tutorials to amazing results.

So I thought about sharing a really fun and easy DIY project that I indulged in recently. The best part is that you can do this with the craft supplies you already have! And it takes less than five minutes.

I decided to up-cycle the Pringles Can into a Jumbo Brush holder for the brushes I had at home. Especially because we would need these brushes and a holder in the next DIY project I have in mind!

THINGS YOU'LL NEED:

1. Empty Pringles Can
2. Washi Tape/Coloured Paper
3. Scissors
4. Stickers (Optional)

STEP 1:

If you're planning on using coloured paper, then wrap it around the can and cut it off at the correct end. Use glue to stick the paper onto the body of the can. But, if you're like me and just want to find the quickest way out of this - use washi tape!

Place one end of the washi tape on the can and go around it. Come back to the meeting point and snip it off. Repeat this step.

STEP 2:

And it will take sometime for you to wrap your can in washi tape. You can use one colour or go crazy like I did and use three.

STEP 3:

The end result would look like this:

STEP 4:

Use the stickers for decoration. And because they wouldn't stick on the body, I decided to put on the lid.

FINAL REVEAL:

And this what the end product looks like:

A nice little place to keep your jumbo paint brushes in while you're working. When you're done painting, you can recap it and use it as a storage space for your other nick knacks.

That is literally it! It takes less than five minutes to up-cycle a Pringles can using washi tape into a holder for your jumbo paint brushes. Next time - we're going to put these brushes into good use. :)
